I edit, write and produce videos for TV and the web. I work with a range of clients from TV networks and production companies to ad agencies, educational institutions and non-profits. I often job in as a director/producer for out-of-town production companies. I work as scriptwriter from scratch and script doctor, working on short schedules to provide a fresh eye and help iron out those nagging story structure issues. I began and built my career as a video editor, and in the last few years, editing has once again become the core of my work. I've had a parallel career as a playwright, teacher, and David Foster Wallace expert, and the variety keeps me fresh. Like the Ben and Jerry's bumper sticker said, "If it's not fun, why do it?" I've been everywhere from Woody Allen's cutting room, to ABC, to PBS, to basic cable, to corporate, and I love every bit of it. Please see my LinkedIn and IMDb page for the details.
As an editor, I'm doing a lot more Adobe Premiere work these days, after being an Avid Media Composer guy from its beginning. I've worked in FCP as well.  Lately, I've been doing a lot of taking the rushes of unscripted material, and with a little creative direction but minimal supervision from the client, creating a piece that sings.
I'm based in Boston, but always happy to travel. Tell me what you need, we'll make it happen.
